Big moves, bigger minds. Team Nova was invited to Mailchimp FWD London, a day spent with some of the UK's most forward-thinking marketers, creators and brand builders. We went along, filmed a mini vlog, and came back with a notebook full of ideas.
What is Mailchimp FWD?
FWD is Mailchimp's own marketing conference. The London edition took over Magazine London on the Thames, bringing together brands, marketers and agencies for a full day of talks, demos and networking. The big themes were using customer data to make marketing feel more personal, getting more out of AI-powered tools, and building relationships with customers that last longer than one sale.
The day itself
Mailchimp didn't do things by halves. The venue was filled with giant flowers and bright yellow everywhere you looked, with stands to explore between sessions and a rooftop with views across the river. There was even a newspaper handed out on the day with the headline "Intuit puts marketing and money on the same page", which is pretty much how we've always thought about it.
Who we met
The best part of any event is the people. We spent the day talking to marketers, creators and other agency owners about what's actually working for them right now: what they're automating, how they're using email alongside social, and where AI is genuinely saving them time versus where it's just noise.
What we're bringing back
Personal beats generic. The brands getting the best results are sending fewer, more relevant emails based on what customers actually do.
Automation does the heavy lifting. Welcome series, follow-ups and win-back emails that run in the background free up time for the creative work.
Marketing and money belong together. Every campaign should be measured on what it brings in, not just opens and likes.
As a Mailchimp certified agency, events like this keep us close to where the platform is heading, so our clients get the benefit before everyone else catches up.

Thank you, Mailchimp
